Theft at Colwick Park and Ride Nottinghamshire

On February 7, 2020  Adam Seed, a city worker returned to his car and shocked to see someone break-in to his vehicle and causing hundreds of pounds of damage. The thieves had stripped the inside of his Nissan Navara and took random items such as the four-wheel drive dial, the heated seat controller, floor mats, his wheel locking nuts and even the gear stick bag! He was surprised to see they didn’t touch the stereo or the phone holder which are rather more expensive than the items he lost.

Nottingham City Council, which runs the car park, said CCTV is in place and it had not received any reports of this theft. Nottinghamshire Police Sergeant Richard Hunter confirmed they received a report, just after 4.30 pm on Friday, February 7, that a grey Nissan Navara which was parked on Colwick Road, Nottingham, had been broken into. Also, Nottinghamshire Police appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious activity on February 7, 2020  between 9 am and 4 pm or anyone who has any information about this incident to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number “666 of 7 February 2020.”

The Vehicle owner also said he struggled to get the replacements as its such random parts. He is also concerned there are hundreds of unattended cars in the parking lot and there is not enough security such as CCTV or regular patrols in the Colwick park and ride.
