Cancelling your insurance means any damage to your vehicle, you will be sole responsible it includes, Fire, Theft or attempted theft, Vandalism, Lightning, windstorm or hail, water damage, Earthquake or explosion, Riot or civil disturbance, falling trees, damage from any projectiles etc. On the other hand, the “Parked Ca Insurance” Cover it all for a nominal fee.

Also once you are back, make sure the vehicle is intact and any issues, take pictures, call the insurance company immediately. Also make sure to convert the parked car insurance to normal by calling them, otherwise any damage/s while you are driving your vehicle will not be covered under your policy as it was supposed to be parked.

Note: – Most of the insurance companies doesn’t like to see a gap in insurance coverage, and the rates can go up once you re-activate it So it is advised to downgrade your insurance to a comprehensive/parking insurance so the insurance companies will be happy and you will be protected from unexpected expenses.
